As a part of my adoption application, I had to turn in a family profile. My completed profile is three pages long and includes lots of personal information about me and my family that I don’t want to share on the internet. But I’m going to post a short excerpt about me, just so you can feel jealous of my future children.
As a child, Kate spent most of her time making up stories about her imaginary friends. She has not grown out of this, and creative writing is now her favorite hobby. During the day, Kate works as an environmental engineer. In her free time, she prefers reading and writing. Kate has written several novels for both adults and teenagers. While none of her books have been published yet, she does have a literary agent and it is her dream to one day make a career out of writing.
Young adult fiction is Kate’s favorite genre to write, and read. Because of this she spends a large percentage of her time trying to think like a teenager. She does also sometimes read middle grade books and is excited about sharing her love of children’s literature with her kids.
When Warren and Kate aren’t busy expressing their creativity individually, they enjoy exploring together. They own a camping trailer that enables them to head out for a spontaneous weekend in the woods whenever they want, even if it’s a rainy weekend in January. They are looking forward to sharing their love for the outdoors with their children.
It goes on from there, but I don't want to make you to jealous, so I'll stop now.
