January Reads

For this weeks Road Trip Wednesday, the good people over at YA Highway are asking the question

What's the best book you read in January?

I read eight books in January. A few of them were really good, so it's hard to pick a favorite. Last month I read:

Where I Belong by Gwendolyn Heasley

The Little Book by Selden Edwards

Speaker for the Dead by Orson Scott Card

Xenocide by Onson Scott Card

Fracture by Megan Miranda

Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys

And my favorite read for January was The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

What about you? What was the best book you read in January?

Wow, you had a great reading month! The Fault in our Stars seems to be a really popular one. I can't wait to read it!

I will be borrowing this from my daughter to read in the near future. I want to read LOOKING FOR ALASKA first, though. I know John Green's books are all standalone, but it seems wrong to read his latest when I've not read his first.

Really great list, and I think many of us had a tough time choosing between great reads. Not a bad problem to have in my mind :-)

Wow what a list! January was a tough month to chose from, but TIFOS was the winner by far for me too.

Nice list!
Fracture sounds interesting. How was it?
My picks were Divergent and Going Too Far.

I was really tempted to write about The Fault in Our Stars, but I knew that it would be a popular book, and I thought that I'd give a few lesser-known books some more love. Angelfall by Susan Ee was fantastic, but there have been so many good books published this month that I think it's easy for books like that to slip through the cracks.

I reread THE GIVER by Lois Lowry and absolutely loved it, all over again. Such a great book.

You're the fifth person I know who has named this as the best book of January. I'll have to go pick it up sooner than later.
